JUNIOR FOCUS

While you should be continuing what you have done so far, you will also be doing some major college-related activities. Start prepping for the ACT/SAT while also maintaining a healthy GPA. Try for leadership positions in after-school clubs and bring positive changes to the overall school climate. While there are certain ongoing responsibilities such as grades, participation in co-curricular activities, and prepping for the ACT, a few things must be done by certain dates.

AUGUST

Check your courses and your schedule. See if you are missing any credit required for graduation. You need to login to your student account and click on the ‘Graduation Plan’ tab at the top. Set up a meeting with your counselor if you have questions. Sign up for the Annual Junior Ivy League college trip in November. Note that you must write an essay explaining why you should go on the trip and how it will benefit you. Start planning how you will fund the trip.
